The ECHO Education Event (E3) is a two-day event that will be presented as a composite of didactic and interactive teaching, focusing on core competencies in acute and chronic pain management, which includes physical, psychosocial and pharmacological strategies.

Day 2 | February 4th, 2022 | 8AM - 2PM ET
Day 2 will require participants to apply the skills and knowledge delivered in Day 1 during the interactive simulation and case-based learning activities. Following, participants will join the rest of the Pain Management ECHO community in a session on Virtual Reality in Paediatric Pin by Brittany Wiles and Rachel Kelly.

Bring your breakfast to E3 at 8:00AM ET to network with other E3 participants. Alyssa Gumapac, Communications Specialist for Paediatric Project ECHO, will lead the group in ice breaker activities.

8:00AM | Networking - Meeting your Simulation Group
Before meeting your patient Samantha, you will meet your simulation group. Take this time to talk about your clinical practice and experiences managing paediatric pain.
You may also take this time to review the simulation scenarios and observer sheets. This training is immersive and we want to create the most realistic clinical scenario. To prepare, you may also want to:
- Find a quiet area
- Have a drink with you e.g. water
- Remember this is a safe and non-judgmental environment

The Simulation Program at SickKids (SimKids) is an ever expanding, diverse, collaborative program that has been in formal operation since 2009. The SimKids was initially accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2013 and most recently renewed in 2018. The SimKids supports over 5,400 learners and facilitates more than 20,000 learner hours each year.
