ECHO Education Event featuring the Distraction, Pain and Guided Imagery Workshop.

The ECHO Education Event (E3) is a two-day event that will be presented as a composite of didactic and interactive teaching, focusing on core competencies in acute and chronic pain management, which includes physical, psychosocial and pharmacological strategies.

 

Day 1 | March 23rd, 2023 | 8AM - 4PM ET

Day 1 will deliver the Distraction, Pain and Guided Imagery workshop by Dr. Bernie Whitaker. This includes an introduction to pain neurphysciolosy and cognitive theory, mindfulness, breakout sessions to practice and case reviews.

Day 2 | March 24th, 2023 | 8AM - 2PM ET

Day 2 will deliver presentations and workshops on motivational interviewing, pharmacology for paediatric pain, and an Equity, Diversity and Inclusive (EDI) themed case-based learning. Keynote speakers Cynthia Nguyen and Sherry Cheng, will also present on Virtual Reality and Apps for Paediatric Pain. Following, participants will join the rest of the Pain Management ECHO community in a session on Adolescent Considerations by Sarah Sheffe.
